Please forgive me if this question has been posed before but I couldn't find it.

Anyway, how do you evenly distribute nuts, sprinkles, etc. on the sides of the entire cake? I want to do a carrot cake similar to the one below by KGibbs58 for my DH and would love for the nuts to be distributed as nicely. Any suggestions???

TIA!! icon_biggrin.gif

what I do is first put parchment strips around the bottom of the cake on the cake board to keep it clean.........then pick up the cake on the board and hold it in your left hand (if you're rt. handed) and with your right hand pick up a handful of chopped nuts and gently push them into the side of the cake and the excess that don't stick will just fall off and continue all the way around the cake!
