We do not care for bittersweet chocolate at all (or even semisweet for that matter)! Can this be substituted? Is the bittersweet noticeable when on the cake?

I'm sure you could substitute the bittersweet chocolate if you like. I'm just not sure it would taste as good. The cake has a rich taste and texture. It's not bitter at all. You'd have to try it to see what I am talking about
