Does anyone know how to get the inside of a dryer clean? My two yr old put a crayon in his pocket that I did not find out about until I washed and dryed all of the clothes
...everything had black spots all over it, including the inside of my dryer! If I have to replace the clothes, that stinks, but they can be replaced! However I can't get the black off of the inside of my dryer, I have tried bleach and 409...
but I can't afford to replace that! Arrgghhh...little boys! ![]()
Have you tried a magic clean eraser?
My mom says that cigarette butts get crayons off, and she did it once for me and it did work, but not everyone has a smoker close by, lol!
What about rubbing alcohol.......would that take it off? I don't know, just a suggestion.
I bet it's fun poking your head in the dryer trying to clean it.....hmmm............I wash toys and money and rocks and all kinds of things the boys put in their pockets, so I know what you're doing.
Good Luck!!
Try turning the dryer on hot for a while and then turn it off and use a paper towel to get some of it off. Crayons are mostly wax so it will melt the hardened crayon for you.
For the clothes you can try to iron over a paper bag, that's something they do to get rid of wax stains on cloth.
I'm not sure if it will work but it's worth a try.
LOVE LOVE LOVE magic eraser!!! I use it on everything!! ![]()
My darling daughter used to color all over my moms walls every day. My mom would get so mad, but never take the crayons away. She would tell her not to do it, turn her back and there was McKenna coloring away. She never did it at home.
