Hello everyone! I bought all of my stuff to make buttercream dream and wandered before I get going on it tomorrow, how much does it make? I have only used Wilton's buttercream and I think it covers and decorates a double 8" round. Is it the same, does it go further? I am making a 6" and 10" double layered stacked cake. I got enough to make 2 batches of icing. I hope so, the salted and unsalted butter is expensive!!

Not sure exactly how much it makes. I've always used it without measuring how many cups it is.

By the way, where do you get your butter? Super Walmart usually has their butter on sale for $2.58 or $2.65. Can't remember the exact price.

I think you should be okay. I just did a 6",8",10". It took almost 4 batches, but I torted with it so I had 3 layers of buttercream in each layer.

One batch is enough to make a 8" round, but if you are using frosting to decorate you will need more. I usually do 1.5 of the recipie, because I hate running out.

Yes the butter is expensive, that just means it's good. icon_wink.gif

I just decorated a 8 inch stacked caked and had enough left over to do 13 cupcakes. You'll probly need 2 batches.
