My church is having a Christmas Bazaar. I was wondering what kind of goodies I should make? How far in advance can I make them and they still be tasty?? The bazaar is Nov. 6th.I was thinking cake balls and truffles, maybe gourmet caramel apples. Any other suggestions?? Thanks!!
We just did a similar thing in our town, and we sold our sugar cookies like crazy! We went through 15 dozen in 5 hours. We live in a REALLY small town too so that is a large amount for here.
I could really use some ideas for other items to make because I would like to have a good assortment!
Okay here are just some ideas:
-- different cookies
-- maybe some bundt cakes
-- cheesecake bites, some dipped in chocolate, some not
-- dipped marshmallows on a stick, do some plain chocolate, others with sprinkles or something
-- cocoa cones
-- anything dipped in chocolate, like pretzels, nuts, raisins, etc.
-- divinity
-- brownies
-- cream cheese mints
These are just a few ideas off the top of my head. HTH
Peanut brittle and peanut patty also goes REALLY well for us. This time of year is great for it, as it doesn't do well in hot months. This can be sold either in solid patties or broken in pieces. Also...another twist to the peanut brittle is you can use different nuts AND you can break the patties in large pieces and dip each piece halfway in chocolate.
Ooooooh, I feel two pounds piling on just thinking about it! LOL!!
Hope it is a success for you! I love this time of year and these types of events!
Thank you guys for the replies. I need to sit down and decide what I will make and how to get it all done!
