I am somewhat new to cake decorating and I came across this peanut butter cake and frosting...I haven't tried the cake yet but the frosting tastes just like Reese's peanut butter cups! It is from More Tastes and Tales from Texas

Here it is:

1 c. chocolate chips (6 oz)
1/2 c butter
1/2 - 3/4 c sifted powder sugar
1 1/4 c peanut butter

Melt chocolate chips and butter in a double boiler. Add powdered sugar and peanut butter and beat until smooth. Chill for about 15 minutes or until frosting is of spreading consistency.

Hope you like it as much as my family does! icon_smile.gif

Sounds yummy! Do you know if you can make borders, flowers, etc. with it?

Thanks, Janice

That is one draw back to using this frosting...I tried piping just a star border around the edges and it held it shape loosely...not at all like a buttercream. It was creamy and yummy.
