Needing to bake this cake in the next few minutes and found out I needed to do chocolate instead of yellow. I have the ingredients for the below yellow cake.

2 c cake flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c butter
1 c sugar
3 lg eggs
2 tsp vanilla
3/4 c milk

Can you tell me how to convert this to chocolate and not mess up the chemistry? I was thinking that I could add powdered cocoa to the flour, but does anything else (liquid) need to be changed? Also, what amount if cocoa would you add to this? I do have semisweet baking chocolate I could add if that is preferred over the cocoa. If this one is the best option, how much of it?

Thanks in advance!

I have added cocoa powder to box mixes to make marbled cake. I usually add 2T for a cup of mix. It isnt a science though so I dont know if you want to go by me.

compare to this recipe http://www.hersheys.com/recipes/recipes/detail.asp?id=184

only a few adjustments needed.

(and could always just add cocoa powder TBS by TBS until get taste you like!)
