the new Wilton Romantic Castle towers icon_confused.gificon_surprised.gificon_eek.gificon_confused.gif ?! I'm using them for a wedding cake this weekend and have tried them on the cake (fondant), but they are going to topple. I thought of securing them to the sides of the cake with RI at the venue, but I'm still not sure that'll hold enough (and I have 3 on the top that'll be free standing)! Why didn't they make the towers hollow icon_mad.gificon_mad.gificon_mad.gif - then I could have just stuck dowels in the cake and slipped them over to secure - aaarrrrggghhhh!!! Any ideas anyone?

Can you drill (or have someone drill for you) a dowel-sized hole in the bottom of them so then you could stick them on dowels into the cake?
Another possibility would be to dowel the cake under it like you would a stacked cake, making sure that area is level.
