Royal Icing And Humidity!!!

looking for any suggestions I am in chicago and it has been raining non stop for days, the humidity is riculous!!! none of my royal icing will dry. it is on cookies.....can i toss them in the freezer ???

I think that would just cause problems when you took them out and they thawed, the condensation would make the icing wet or give it a spotted look.

It certainly won't dry in a freezer. Try putting on a tray in a very low oven, just the light should be on and the door very slightly ajar. watch that they don't scorch

I turned my oven on the lowest setting. Let it get warm then turned it off. I turned on the oven light and then placed the royal icing in the oven. I waited until they got warm and then removed them. They dried fairly quickly that way. Like within 15 minutes.
