Went a little crazy with the luster dust icon_smile.gif

I'm not really happy with the way it turned out but I guess it could have been worse. Not too bad for my first try I guess. I cut the petals out using decorating tips and then thinned them and shaped them with my fingers. I know there's got to be a tutorial somewhere for these things but I can't seem to locate one. I think my first set of petals should have been closed more.

Very pretty. I ordered a book to see if I can learn to do them. As a matter of fact, I'm waiting on the UPS delivery as we speak. (I wish he'd hurry)!!!!

I have Wilton's Class III fondant rose tutorial scanned into my computer at home. If you would like a copy, just send me a PM with your email address. It is too big to attach here.

BTW I think your rose came out very nice thumbs_up.gif

If you steam the rose it will help the color set and it won't come off on your hands. It is a beautiful rose. Each one I do is different than the one before. So they are more natural looking. icon_lol.gif

It is very gorgeous for your first time and no instructions. The wilton 3 course book shows how to make them and what tools to use. Your rose looks like a fully bloomed rose. Good job!! thumbs_up.gif
