Rolled Fondant Roses???

Can I get tips on making rolled roses. Also, what does adding Gum Tex to the fondant do??

I add gum paste to my fondant. It makes the fondant more pliable and easier to form, also dries faster. I have two tutorials that show how to make gumpaste/fondant roses I'm sure they might help you. The first is for a realistic looking rose:

Awesome!! Thanks much!! One more question....how do I get the roses to stick on the cake?? I see that I would probably stick the wire in the cake if I did the realistic roses but what about the ribbon roses??
