Hi all
I am new to the board. Recently I made a cake and put some white buttercream roses on it, but I would like to change the color. My question is: can you tint or paint white buttercream roses after they've been made? I imagine it could possibly be done with petal dust, but could it be done with gel or liquid color? If so, are there any tips/tricks I need to keep in mind? Also, the flowers are frozen. Can I re-color them while frozen, or do I need to bring them back to room temp?
thanks all for your help!

I never tried anything like that before, but the first thing I can think of are the cans of spray color (like air-brushing). You can even buy a few colors at the grocery stores.

I wouldn't put liquid on the BC. I would add color paste to BC to make the color of your choice.
If these are already made I would only luster dust them. And yes, let them thaw to room temp. before you dust them.
