I am just beginning to sell my cakes. I have not been able to find a local supplier for cake boxes. Who do you use?

I'm so sorry, I can't really help you...there's a good site online that sells boxes by the bulk...I can't remember their name right now, I'll have to get it out of my notebook, but I'm just SO laughing at your signature!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

restockit.com has bakery boxes

if you plan on buying oodles of them, you can contact the manufacturer directly and they can direct you to the nearest distributor.

when/if you go to restockit.com, it lists the manufacturer of each box. It may pay off for you just to visit and make contact with a distributor from each company.

Hello,

I'm also new to this. You can try www.pattycakes.com. This is where I ordered my boxes in bulk. Best wishes. icon_biggrin.gif

uline.com

look under retail boxes.

They're nice b/c you can get larger quantities without having to buy a million of one size.

If you are just selling a few. I by my rectangled boxes from a local grocery store bakery. I only do a few cakes right now. So when I need one I go get one. They have them at Hobby Lobby also. But the ones I buy from the grocery store bakery are sturdier. I hope this helps you icon_smile.gif

THanks everyone! Sorry I posted and ran, but I went to bed! I was tired and have been fighting a cold. I have tried the grocery store bakery (I work there icon_smile.gif) but they won't sell them anymore. They gave me a few once, but I don't want them to think I am taking their business.

I will try some of the bulk places, but I really don't need THAT many. Thanks again!

Oh, mmdd...I saw that quote on another site I post on and it stuck with me. icon_biggrin.gif

If you need bulk quantities of common sizes, try Overstock.com. They've got good prices, but more importantly, shipping deals! Right now they'll ship for only $2.95!!!! (I ordered a couple weeks ago and got 100 ten-inch boxes and 50 half-sheet boxes with a shipping charge of only ONE BUCK!!!) These suckers are heavy & shipping is usually the killer. Someone else on CC clued me in to this, or I would never have thought overstock would carry such things!

partywarehouse also sells cake boxes by the each, I do not know if you one in your area. If you want to buy bulk you might check out uline.com. They sell both cake boxes and pads, plus a few other bakery items. Just look under retail packaging, then boxes. HTH

www.papermart.com has really good prices. I just ordered some 3x3x2 boxes for my petit fours and I got a case of 100 for only $9.00. Shipping is extra of course but the base prices are great.

If you only need a few and don't want to be buying in bulk, I kow that our Michael's store here sells some cake boxes. They have most of the regular sizes and a few irregular sizes. They're in the aisle with all the Wilton stuff. Don't know if you have a Michael's there but I thought this might help. Good luck! icon_smile.gif

I have boughten some at Michael's Crafts store, or The Paper Outlet Factory store, or Party City. Don't know if you have these stores in your area but most big party supply stores have them. =)

I did check our Michael's but I didn't see any. Maybe I should ask someone. I am off to check Overstock.com.

I get most of mine at Party America (a store in the Denver area). Don't know if you have them there but it's worth checking into (maybe). They have boxes and cake boards and they are much cheaper than the pre-packaged Wilton cake boards.

I hate trying to navigate Overstock.com! I get too frustrated to find anything. I never find what I'm looking for.

Also try www.instawares.com they have pink bakery boxes as well as white. They're also fast with shipping and it's usually free on orders of $250 or more. I know that's a lot but sometimes it's worth ordering more just to get the free shipping!!!

I can get 100 12X12 boxes at http://www.bgpaper.com/catalog/Baking_Supplies.html for $35.45 plus shipping, so paying over $62 at overstock and getting free shipping does not seem like a deal to me. Shipping is a lot for cardboard and there isn't really a way around it, most suppliers either incorporate it into their price and then offer "low" or "free" shipping, or they just charge actual shipping. Either way it costs! icon_rolleyes.gif

www.pilaspantry.com is where I bought supplies from when I lived in CA. very satisfied with them, and they sell in singles also in case you just want a few and not 100.
