O.k. got a order from a 8 yr. old. He wants a bull for his birthday, and he wants it 3d.

So, the question is, what pan to use, how to come up with the design, etc. and there are a million other questions I could ask, but I would be here all night.

So, if you guys have any tips, please help.

Thanks.

I have no idea... maybe the 3-d lamb pan? Could it just be the head or does it need to be the whole body?

I'm not sure, I may need to check into that.

The lamb pan may work, if I can figure the rest out.

Thanks for your input.

I think that the 3-d lamb pan is a good idea. Maybe you could use fondant or gumpaste to make the horns and the tail.

Sorry, I can't give you any help. I haven't attempted a 3D cake yet. I'm anxious to see what you come up with though! The 3D lamb pan sounds like it would be a good starting point. I bull would have a long thin tail the kind of bushes out on the end. I agree fondant should work very well for the tail.

I would personally use the 3d Teddy bear pan. It can just be a sitting bull ; ). The 3d teddy bear pan gives a great foundation for a lot of different things. You'd probably have to cut off the legs. What 3d pans do you have?? The Cabbage patch doll 3d pan would be even better.

These are two links for cow cakes, but you could easily modify them for the bull.

Good Luck!

boonenati--------I have the 3d lamb, long ear rabbit, and the 3d bear.

Hopefully I can come up with something out of one of these pans, and with all of your great ideas.

You guys are the best. thumbs_up.gif

Is the long eared rabbit you have one that you have to bake on its side tied with string?? it's got a little hole in the back for hot air to escape??
I have that one, and that'd be great for a bull as well, just need to cut off the ears.
