Hi Jamiet,

Did you make this morning or last night? If made last night, you would have had to refrigerate it and then take it out to warm up to room temp. If this morning I think you would be okay.

Anyone else out there with a response?

I made the ganache this morning and put it on top of my cake. I have a lady coming to pick it up for a wed. night church supper and I didn't know if she should refrigerate it until time to serve it or not. Thanks so much for your help!! icon_smile.gif

It will be more stable is she does, but unless you have a mousse filling or something, she doesn't have to.

I store these types of cakes in the fridge, but let warm to room temp prior to serving

I also store these in the fridge, and prefer to serve them cold. I would also suggest to this lady to warm her knife when cutting the cake.
