Just wondering if anybody has a storfront seperate from kitchen. I live in a small community about 1 hour away from most of the big cities. I have no problem delivering my cakes to these cities, but was thinking of getting more exposure by having a store front there. The area pays quite well for wedding cakes, and since I only do wedding cakes, I'd like to get more established out there.
I do have young adult children that have volunteered to staff it until I get going. I do most of my work in the kitchen (all legal) in the mornings and evenings. So I would be available in afternoons and some evenings.
I was just wiondering if you find it profitable. I do not have to pay rent on my kitchen so I don't have that much overhead now. Is it worth the rent for you?
I'd appreciate any advice.
