Did my last cake using satinice and it was a disaster. it was sweating and it wouldn't stop. it actually looked like i glazed the cake. i even put it under the ac to have some cool air to dry it up, but no luck. ( my minny cake if you want to take a look in my gallery)

so i will never put satinice in the fridge again.

of course it is hot and humid ( usually around 58% humidity summertime) here as well, so maybe it has something to do with a weather, but at the same time never had this problem with regalice.

satinice tastes 100x better than regalice though. so i will be keeping it for winter now with a hope that it will not sweat if it is cold and not so humid.

Nati,No it is impossible to get it here. ordering from the net with delivery prices it will just go way too high and i think we aslo have to pay some taxes if it is coming anywhere else than eu.
just ordered something from cc and i am waiting to see if i have to pay taxes on it. ( hopefully not, but who knows)

I'm glad to know that the sweating will dry! A few mos ago I did a large fondant wedding cake and decided to leave it out so the colors would not run. Well during the delivery the cake shook so much that the bottom layer cracked some from the weight of the jiggling!

I do alot of 3D cakes and they transport so much better when firm and refrigerated. I just did a 3D Hello Kitty and have to take it today...the only think I hope is that the bow doesn't wilt... but otherwise hopefully it will only get a little tacky and then dry. I was afraid if I didn't refrigerate it, that it would not be reliable enough to travel 40 minutes. I have had nightmare transports before with 3D cakes so anything to firm up the cake is such a help.

I do have a seperate fridge for my cake stuff, and if I'm not doing cakes we just keep our cokes and things in it, but no food other than sweets. And in the freezer I allow boxed items but nothing smelly. I just got the fridge this year (the second one) and its invaluable! I just got a "cheaper" one but its such a help. I do keep it pretty cold though just because of the freezer and everything.
