I just started cake decorating for fun, but now I'm in the Wilton course 3, so I guess I got sucked in. ![]()
I'm going to make a French silk pie for a church get together soon, and I wanted to show off my rose making skills. Could I use chocolate buttercream for the roses, or would you use some other type of icing?

You can use chocolate buttercream. It'll work like regular buttercream.

Yep, you can refrigerate or freeze buttercream icing. Also, if you want to, you can make any buttercream flowers ahead of time and freeze.
Your pie sounds delicious and will be pretty with the chocolate roses...post pictures ![]()
