Hi All!

I would like to practice decorations/flowers and such. However i don't want to mix up 6+ cups of icing. Does anyone have a recipe for maybe a cup or so or can i just kind of adlib? Because I'm just wondering, if I don't practice with the right consistancy icing now, will it make a difference when I'm actually decorating a cake I want to look GOOD?!!!!
Any help is MUCH appreciated! Thank You!!! icon_lol.gif

make a full 6 cup batch of STIFF icing (low liquid)

then divide it into 3 - 2 cup batches.

take one batch and make it medium

take last batch and make it soft

now you can practice w/ all 3 consistencies at the same time to see how techniques compare.

and it can be kept in fridge a long time and in freezer seemingly forever -- so can play --make that practice -- on and on.

Thank you Doug!! Such a great idea! It never occured to me to practice WITH different consistancies....I had my eye set on a few things (with one consistancy) so of course the tunnel vision kicks in! Thanks again I really appreciate it! icon_rolleyes.gifthumbs_up.gif
