Fondant Pool Party Cake???

Hi all,

I'm invited to a pool party in 2 weeks and I want to bring a pool party theamed cake. It'll be a first for me & I love working in fondant but I havn't seen any with fondant. Can someone point me in the right direction?

You can make the sides all fondant, put some stripes going up and down to make it look like an above ground pool. I'm not sure what to advise on fondant water. I color piping gel for water.

The Australian Women's Weekly (Cake Decorating book) has a sweet picture of a cake coeverd in 3 horizontal rolls of fondant (blue and yellow I think) to look like the above ground pool. Then 2 doll picks for the children are stuck in the top with blue gel surrounding in "waves" -- it's so cute!

Here is a link to a pool party cake I did. Mine is done in BC, but could easily be changed to fondant. It was super easy. Can't wait to see your creation! icon_smile.gif
