Someone had posted a very pretty bow they had made, it was done in white and then looked like it had pearls on the edge of the ribbon, I have tryed to find it but can't if anyone knows the link can you let me know. Thanks
I searched the gallery also and can't find it. But I know that I saw one just a couple days ago. It was beautiful.
What I am thinking is that they made each pearl seperate and then attached it . The shimmer comes from pearl dust. It also looks like the made each loop seperate and attached it to something in the middle. to get the ribbon to stay open you fold it and place paper towel or parchment paper init while it dries. To get the ribbon look they could of either used ribbon to make the pattern by pressing it on the gum paste or they bought a mold that is use to create the ribbon effect.
BJ said she used a pearl mold for the pearls and applied it to the bow with vanilla and a dresdan tool. she said she used plastic bird pirches with ribs to make the ribbon type effect. If you read the comments under the picture she gives more details . . . . and there is a great tutorial on how to make the fondant loop bows, it's actually real easy, you just glue them all together in the middle with royal icing, starting a the bottom . . . . i will find you the link to that . . . . .
