Hi everyone icon_smile.gif

I was wondering if there is a way to get a deeper brown colour on this fondant. I used Wilton's Brown icing gel colour but I don't like the brown it ended up being. It looks too orange. Is there another colour I can add to it to make it a deeper, darker brown colour?

Thanks
LL

Well it has been my experience that a mixture of the priamary colors gets you mud, but if you use too much of them all, you end up with black. My guess is, orange is opposite to blue on the color chart so maybe a little blue or even purple will give you a darker brown.

If you look at my gallery pictures, I made a gift cake with a brown ribbon. I mixed red and green to get the brown. I had tried Wilton brown and could not get the color I wanted. The red and green made Tootsie Roll brown.

I use Americolors chocolate brown. If I want it darker, I add some super black. Add slowly. icon_smile.gif
