Need Some Information Please

I have a set of Lily stakes and want to try to make some for acake I need to take to work tomorrow. Here are my "STUPID" questions. It says to "pipe" frosting in to it and then let dry. Here are my questions....what do they mean by pipe?? and do I let them air dry or should I refrigerate them? and last (for now) can I color them?
Thanks for all your assistance. As you can see I am a real amature!!!!

I'm assuming you're talking about making lilies in a lily nail.... You might want to check this link out.

If you're making lilies in the nail (you would use royal icing for this job), they need a lot of time to air dry. I usually give mine 48 hours, at the least. I don't know if anyone else has any quick drying tips for you, but here's a bump for that.

Piping the icing is just simply squeezing the icing out of your bag and tip. For the Lily you use tip 68 touch center well of nail and squuze pullin petal up and slightly over the edge.(decrease pressure as you reach end o fpetal and pull tip away slowly to draw the point) You can color your icing before you pipe with any color you want, or after you pipe you can brush the center with a damp brush to blend a little color. You can let the flowers airdry. Hope this helps. =)

The term "pipe" is to use a tip and make a design. It seems in this case you need to use a round tip and "draw" a line on whatever you are to pipe it onto. I'm not sure what it is you are trying to pipe to. Let me know. Take a look at your instructions to see if it says that you are going to pipe onto the cake or another surface then put it onto the cake. If you are piping onto another surface, then you need to use royal icing. The recipe is on this site. Let air dry. Never put royal icing in the fridge. Buttercream yes, you can put that into the fridge. And to color your icing, use paste coloring. Also on this site. Very easy to do. Just use a toothpick and put in a little at a time until you get the color you need. You can always add, but you can never subtract.
Amature or not. You will do a great job!!!!
