Help! I need a quick way to turn a white cake mix buttery yellow. Real butter - butter flavoring?

Add whole eggs instead of just the egg whites will give more of a yellow color.

if you're using a mix, margarine instead of vegetable oil will do the trick

Use butter and the egg yolks - it's really the egg yolks which add the yellow look to a sponge, I'm just recommending butter as margarine in a cake is ugh!

You can use whole eggs and 1/2 cube of butter in place of the oil. You may want to reduce the liquid added. If you prefer to add oil then add butter flavoring. Good Luck.
