I've read quite a few threads about ordering silicone from Cusinart and Sugarcraft, but I don't want to do that right now. So, I was wondering if there was a way to make a homemade mold, other than using gumpaste?

I saw somewhere, I think in a forum but it could have been a gallery picture, someone using sugarpaste as a modeling compound. They pressed a dolls face into some sugarpaste, let it harden, then used the impression to make a head for a fondant figure. I loved it and will definately give it a try. I just can't remember where I saw it.

Thanks for the tip, Doug. I found that stuff at my local Micheals.
