Does anybody else have a crazy weekend??? I have 2 football games today that my girls are cheering for, I have to work the concession stand in between the two games. I have three cakes to get ready. Cook for homecoming at church tomorrow, and take the girls to softball practice. I am ready for Monday to get here!!!

I am having a busy weekend by my standards. Mine will slow down after this afternoon. I was up until 4:30 this morning working on cakes. I have 4 things due this afternoon. I have a chocolate raspberry layer cake and a birthday sheet cake with a treehouse on it for one lady from work, and 48 cupcakes and a groom's cake shaped like a pool table for another lady from work. I'll post pictures later when it's all done. I am going to the wedding reception (they got married last weekend in Gatlinburg, reception this weekend here) this afternoon, but after that, I'm enjoying kicking back and relaxing! Good luck with all you have to do this weekend!

Nope; sitting in the spa drinking chai tea this morning.

I do have a shower cake (9") to bake and decorate and a bridal festival to visit that I totally missed being IN, but other than that, I'm going to putter in the rose garden and watch the grass grow this weekend. Which will be a nice change, for me...

Not me, either. I'm going for an 18-mile bike ride this morning, then boating in the afternoon. Will grade papers in-between those events. Tomorrow I'm having in-laws over for a low-key brunch, then I'll play with some candy clay (roses and fans). I try to find a balance. It makes a big difference now that my daughter is grown/moved out! Her cheer, dance, gymnastics activities kept me moving!! Hang in there!

I have to make a brownie trifle in a few hours for a family reunion tomorrow (that I SOOOOOO DO NOT want to go to). I may also pick up some stuff to make a "better than sex cake" while I am there it seems to be a crowd pleaser.

My first wedding cake is next saturday so I will be working on it prob beginning wed. making the icing and such!!
