Attaching Ribbon To Fondant Covered Board
Decorating By MommaLlama Updated 10 Sep 2006 , 2:52am by mary-ann
What is the best way to attach ribbon to a cake board covered in fondant?? Ribbon is pretty sheer. The cake board is two cardboard boards stuck together and covered in contact paper, then covered in fondant.
thanks

Hi there
This isn't probably the most techically correct way, but I use double sided tape - the stuff you can get from scrapbooking/craft stores - it comes in a variety of widths and I just teared bits off as I needed -- also was good to help fold over the end of the ribbon to make it neater too.
Hope this helps! goodluck.

i use a glue gun!! works great! since it's sheer.....you could probably put a few dots around the board.
You can use a tiny dab of royal icing, but if the ribbon is very sheer this might show
