I have seen a lot of cakes with silk flowers and fabric ribbons and they are so beautiful. But how do you keep them from soaking in the greasiness of the BC?

You don't! I've seen discussions on here about doing this and that to ribbon to try to keep it from turning dark, but I don't think anything is fool proof. I used ribbon on a cake last week and just let it soak up all the grease - it was still a uniform color, just a bit darker. Never done silk flowers, but it's probably the same situation.

Thank for your reply. I know that I read somewhere what to about that I just can't remember where. Thanks again.
