Cut out the heart shaped pieces, lay it in your hand with the point facing away from you and wrap the two humps of the heart together. I "glued" mine together with a little water & merengue powder. I placed the cones on the paper cups, you know those cone shaped cups to dry. I also thought the picture on the Wilton instructions was a little confusing. HTH
