I thought that a while back I saw a cake on here that was a skull decorated for the Day of the Dead celebration. Am I crazy? I have looked and looked and can't find it anywhere. Can anyone help me?
Thanks!!! icon_biggrin.gif

What kind of search did you do, what words? Someone did a pretty good skull type face, I *think* it was Liis, from the movie"Scream". ??

I have searched under "skull cakes", "Day of the Dead cakes", and "mexican holiday cakes". I thought that I had put it in my favorites but apparently I didn't icon_mad.gif ! If I remember correctly it was just a large skull shaped cake on a platter that I think was covered with fondant and then decorated traditionally. Thanks for all your help so far! Maybe we will still find it!! thumbs_up.gif

I'm almost positive these are NOT the ones you are referring to. However, they are skulls, and decorated traditionally and I thought they might help you out a bit. Picture's a little grainy

I responded to someone else's post about a Day of the Dead cake, but the thread disappeared. I mean it's "somewhere" but I can't find it by going to the forum. Here's a link to that post from my topics subscribe email.

There's info about the holiday, direx on how to make sugar skulls and where to buy the molds.
