Does this have to be refrigerated due to the butter? I made a cake for someone and will not get it to them until tommorrow.Oh I used water instead of the milk also.I screwed up thinking I was making class icing. Thanks so much!

I'm not sure what recipe you are using, but my buttercream recipe calls for 1/2 butter and 1/2 crisco. I never refrigerate it unless it's above 85 degrees.

Hope this helps.

I've done it both ways. If it's hot where you live I'd put it in the refrigerator.

So here is a question: Can you decorate with Buttercream Dream? I made it and it was so thin. It frosted well, but the roses, no way! Tasted really good.

Now, I am in Texas, so is that because of the heat? Any suggestions?

I've never made it so I can't be of any help. Sorry.
