I know this has nothing to do with cakes. I'm watching animal planet with my daughter and they show clips of steve's life. He was a great man very passionate about his work and family. If there would be more people like him Humane societys would'n be as filled as they are.

Hopefully he is getting all the answers about crocs and everything else in Heaven, those little things he may have not known.

He was saying that he wanted to be remembered as being passionate... I dont think ANYONE will remember him as anything else.
Gosh, this is still so sad.

I still can't believe he is gone. What a tragedy.

I was reading in the People magazine that him and his daughter were going to be doing a kid's show together on animal planet, and now they are not sure if they are going to continue with it without Steve or not. I think they should carry on with it, but instead of it with Terri and Bindi...

Not only did the world lose an amazing soul but so did the animal world. May God's peace envelope Terri, Bindi and Bob.

There was a "polital cartoon" (not really polital, but normally the artist is a satirist) in our local paper today, which made me sad all over again.

It was a drawing of a croc in the water, you could see his whole head and half his body. The word on the croc is 'world'. The croc is crying and thinking, "the crocodile hunter can't be gone". Underneath the picture the caption reads "real tears".

Sigh.

They have been showing a short tribute commercial on Animal Planet of Steve Irwin. Everytime I see it, I get blurry-eyed by the time it shows him playing with the lion cub.

It's so strange - I never met the man, but when I found out he died I cried like he was a friend. My 2 boys loved watching him, as did I. Sometimes we thought he was crazy for the things he did...LOL
God bless Steve Erwin- and his family

I also wept for Steve and his family. From the moment I first watched him I felt a kindred spirit. I too was raised in the Florida wild by a father that taught me to love all creatures.

I used to watch my father "wrestle gators" for fun. I hand caught snakes by 5, and I was always rehabbing some orphaned wild thing.

This snake keeping reptile lover will always keep "SteveO" in my heart.

And still on topic: BOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! to Bill Maher for his tasteless joke on his HBO talk show about Steve Irwin's death.
