I make pumpkin rolls in the fall. It is getting close already can you believe it?!?! icon_surprised.gif My problem every year is boxing them. It is not such a problem if they buy more than one I put them in quarter sheet boxes then. But if they just buy one I would LOVE to have a box that just fits a jelly roll. Does anyone know where to find this kind of box? I have been all over the internet and have yet to find anything. I know they have to be out there because I see them in the grocery stores all the time. If you have any ideas they would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

the approx measurement you require for a single. I'm in Canada but I can check suppliers here for you. I'm sure you already know about BRP Boxes in the US.

You might check with the grocery store bakery you see them in. They may be willing to sell you boxes. What are the dimensions needed? I have purchased some of the really cheap disposable plasticware for putting things in for delivery at times. Are they frosted? Is it something that could be put on a carboard tray and slid into a large zipper bag?

If you check with your local store bakery that you've seen them used in they will sell them to you, but they may also be able to tell you where they purchase them or where you could purchase them. I purchase plastic containers from them depending on what type... most recent ones were the ones they use for platters... veggie and sandwich platters and they run me about $3.00 a piece. The smaller ones that they use for cakes and cupcakes and such run me about .50 cents a piece depending on sizes. Cake boxes cost a little more from there but I've found my local craft store sells Wilton cake boxes now lol

Depending on the size, you could put it on a cake circle and use the box it goes into. That's what we used at my families bakery.
If it's an 8" roll, put in on a 10" circle, etc...
I don't know if this helps or not icon_razz.gif

If you can't find the exact size I would contact www.brpboxshop.com as they make all of their boxes on site and they can make a certain style/size you need (this is how they got started with the cupcake inserts)

I don't know what would cost but it is worth a shot!

You could also try Nashville Wraps. They carry an assortment of food boxes and might have the size you need.

I make pumpkin rolls in the fall as well and I wrap them in reynolds freezer wrap then I wrap it in a festive holiday approprate dish towel and tie the ends with ribbon (so it kind of looks like a candy..) Everyone love the presenation.. Oh I forgot to mention that I cut a piece of cake board to put underneath the roll first.. but its really and inexpensive way to add a homey touch.

Thanks for all the good ideas. I will start at the grocery store and see what happens. I do love the dishcloth idea too.
