I am looking for a good recipe for a very firm cake batter to use for the Stand Up Cuddly Bear pan. The instructions recommend 1 box of pound cake mix and 1 of yellow cake mix, but to be honest I didn't really like it. I want something firm, but not to dry. Any suggestions?

Here's a good one from The Cake Mix Doctor's web site. It's a really good cake. I did add 1/4 cup oil to the recipe and have used it for that type cake.

The country pound cake recipe from this site is really good, not dry.

I've heard the DH lemon cake mix has a pound cake recipe on the side (adding an extra egg, adjusting the oil) that is really good.

Let us know how the standup bear turns out. I found one at a thrift store the other day and can't wait to try it out.

I just made the 3d spiderman cake using the Super Enhanced Cake Mix recipe from this site and it was a thick consistency like pound cake and was very yummy.

It turned out well. I used the country pound cake recipe, which is very yummy and pretty firm. I did have some problems with the bears head cracking, but other than that it went well.

I've used the Super-Enhanced cake formula from this site for the stand-up 3D train pan and it worked out really well.

I use the "Durable Cake for 3D and Wedding Cakes" recipe from this site and it was very good. I don't use the core that comes with the Bear.
