I am making cake balls for my brothers wedding and would like to make them really pretty. I have made tons with the swirls on top but this time I would like to try to make tiny chocolate hearts to put on top. I have never done anything like that before and was wondering if anyone else knew how to go about doing it. Any advice is truly appreciated!

There are a couple of ways to do this, one you could pipe the chocolate hearts on some parchment and let them dry, or you could purchase some of the chocolate molds to make your hearts. They are very easy to do. There are many place that sell the molds, you may even find them at your local craft store. Wilton has the candy melts that work real well.

I did small chocolate hearts dusted with lustre dust in the anniversary cake I did in my photos (white with swiss dots and chocolate hearts around borders). I love the effect of the lustre dust...and mine were white chocolate to start...hth

Maybe use fondant cutouts. These would be quick and you could mold them to fit your cake ball. Have fun.
