ok i just recently started making cakes and getting very small request here and there, and yes i have a cake on craigslist. now i keep reading all this stuff about being licenced, which i am not, I also made my beautiful website (that took 3 hours) which i am now about to take down
does anyone know what the at home bakery rules are for colorado??? I cant find it anywhere and I have already been the SOS website, help me please!
Not from CO, but did you check the thread about becoming legal? Someone from your area may have already mentioned that requirements. ![]()
HTH!
Angie
There is a thread on here that lists the states and has the info. about licensing. I'm fairly sure it is in the form for cake decorating businesses. I hope everything works out for you.
thank you all! i have checked all the threads about it and for colorado it just has a "?" so i dunno
Good luck in your search for the information!
I am sure a bunch of people would appreciate any information you find!
What is a SOS website??
PM JanH and I bet you a million dollars, she would have the link for you....she is an expert at that!

Go here, click on the last link and it will open a PDF document about retail food estabishments for Colorado. On page 59 it tells you exactly what you need to know (basically you will need a separate kitchen to your living areas). Hope that helps!
