I am seeing people talking about recipes using pudding to make a mousse filling, and adding pudding to cake mixes.

I can't find them in the recipe section.

Can anyone help me out?

Thank you

I got the information from another member here. .basically, I took an instant pudding pack, in this case, banana cream flavor. Instead of the 2 cups milk, I added 1 1/2 c. heavy cream and 1/2 cup milk. It becomes very fluffy and "mousse" like.

Hope that helps!

I wasn't sure about the mousse part. For cake mixes, just add a box of dry instant pudding to the mix. I add milk instead of water. There are some recipes and ideas on www.cakemixdoctor.com. The Cake Mix Doctor has several books that really good. On the website, the recipes are under "recipe corner" or in the newsletters.

I use Dream Whip and instant pudding to make a mousse that is great for filling (doesn't absorb much into cake and is fluffy)..

Take one packet of Dream Whip and prepare as directed on packet (i.e., at 1/2 cup cold milk and whip for 7-9 minutes).

In a separate bowl, put one pack instant pudding and 1 and 1/2 cups cold milk and whisk for two minutes.

Fold pudding into Dream Whip.

That's it!
