Do I crumb coat a styrofoam dummy cake?

I don't think you have to.........however you may want to wrap it in plastic wrap or shrink wrap or glad press n seal wrap then you can reuse your dummy

crumb coat is basically a thin layer of your icing on a fresh cake.. Reason being, when you ice a cake and if you dont crumb coat it first, it will leave little tiny pieces of cake mixed in all your icing and you'll never get a smooth finish. Just wrap your dummy cake like KHalstead said above.. So that when you want to change your design on the cake, all you have to do is wash it off and rewrap (if needed) and reice it.. Good Luck!
