Does anyone have an idea on how to make a skateboard cake? I have one for tomorrow and don't know where to start. This lady just called me last night. Will this work?: making a 10" round and an 11x15. Cut the round in half and place a half on each end of the 11x15 then carve the sides to be even with the round and curve in on the sides? Thanks for any advice!!

Check the gallery here on cakecentral. There are quite a few skateboard cakes shown.

I think it might be cool to get a cake board that's almost the same size as the cake....could use foam core board.....and raise it up by gluing a large wooden bead to each of the four corners to raise the board and then put the skateboard cake like you were saying on top and then make four wheels and put them in each of the corners hiding the construction on another larger cake board then it would look like the skateboard cake was actual a skateboard floating on wheels......does that make sense??
