Need recipe for "flaky" style sugar cookies and icing....The cookies are more cake like and soft....Really want an icing that is like cake icing, but has a hint of cinnamon....anybody have any ideas?

I don't have a cookie recipe but the rolled buttercream sounds like what you're looking for for frosting!! You can roll it out, cut it with the same cutter you use for your cookies, put the cutout on the cookies just after you take them out of the oven and the frosting sticks to the cookie.
