I never go by cook times on the pans. I tend to overfill them a little so I can easily level right across the top of the pan while piping hot.
I always use the bake even strips and love them.
I bake by sight though, always have. One day, it might take 40 min to cook, another, 45. I never measure my batter either. ![]()

Cake strips slow the speed at which heat enters the batter. It will often add to your baking time.
