Hello Everyone

I have been looking at all the wonderful pictures in the gallery. I was wondering when you do the Swiss Dot what tip do you use? I'm thinking a 3 or 5 or is there a tip that has all 3 dots?

Thanks Cheryl C

I don't really know if there is a tip with three holes but I use no bigger than a 3 for my dots. If I do a tri dot then I use a #2! I don't use any larger than a #3 because I don't want it to look "polka dot" if that makes sense! icon_rolleyes.gif

For me it depends on the size of the cake. I dont want a large cake with teeny tiny dots on it, but I also don't want too large of dots on a small cake. I do anywhere from 3-5 depending on size of cake.

Yes, there are two tips that have the three dots in a triangular fashion, small and large dots. I'll have to dig my tips out and see what their numbers are...I'll get back to you...

The small 3 dot tip is #221 and the large 3 dot tip is #2020. There are two cake decorating stores in Oklahoma City that carry these (I'm sure other places do, too). I'll look up the info on them and post that as well.

fronklowes,

Thanks for the tip numbers. I will check the website to see if I can purchase them online. It would definitely be a timesaver.

Here are the two stores I know carry them. The people at both of these stores are very nice, and I bet one of them (if not both) would mail them to you.

Cake and Candy Connection
1415 N. Portland
OKC, OK 73107
405-942-3232

Midwest Bakers Supply Co.
2716 NW 10th
OKC, OK 73107
405-942-3489

I think that sugarcraft.com sells these as well, but I've heard mixed reviews about their customer service...so beware...

Also, they aren't made by Wilton, so you won't find them on their website. Mine both say Marpol, but there may be some other companies that make them, too.
