Candy Molds Need Info On How To Use Color

Hi all i bought some candy molds this weekend and was really going to use them for fondant , i tried out the rose one and the fondant did really good , but how would i add color if making candy ones, the other one i bought were for a girl, it has a lipstick tube and a purse a shoe how can i color them to look like what they are thanks for any info??

Use brushes, melt small amounts of candy in the colors you want. Put a GOOD coating of the color where you want it and then put it in the fridge for a minute, add the next color, etc. Then you add your filler or final color.
It really isn't as hard as it sounds.

Thanks that helps alot. just couldnt figure it out with the candy deal,

If you've never worked with candy before remember that the candy can't get any water in it and everything has to be totally dry. It causes the candy to seize, if you do accidently get water in it use a little shortening to straighten it out.
If you want flavoring get oil based products. They make colors just for candy too, if you're in a pinch you can use regular colors but you have to add shortening with it.
