Ideas Needed Steve Erwin Croc Hunter Theme

I have to do a cake for my niece who is turning 6 on Aug 11th. She wants a Steve Erwin Croc Hunter themed birthday cake. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Also any party ideas would be appreciated as well.

What if you did a round cake with leaves all over the sides and had his head and all different animals peaking out of it. That way you could do lots of animals but really only have to do their heads.
There is a new show with his daughter - Bindy - the jungle girl. You may get party ideas from that. Maybe even let the kids decorate their own cookies in shapes of bugs or animals too. Those new Witon markers work great on roayal icing. We did a party and had the kids do the markers - they LOVED it!

I have no idea what techniques you are comfortable doing - but if it were me, I'd do a crocodile cake like this:
