Hi there

I have to make a "fish" cake for Saturday... My first sculpted cake OH BOY AND I have to Airbrush it OH BOY! I bought a airbrush of sorts at Home Depot per CCers suggentions. Now....what kinda paint do i use? Can I use food colorings? Or do i HAVE to get a special paint? Money is tight this week so i hope not...I am so nervous. And how much color do i mix with how much of the vodka or whatever else i should mix with.... Ill prob be using...yellow,light green, dark green. Butter cream frosted with fondant fins.

ANY advice would be amazing and thank you so much

Christine

I have always been warned about and told not to use anything in your airbrush except airbrush paints. I have used luster dusted with vodka. When you buy americolor or wilton or chefmaster airbrush paints you just put them right in and go. You would have to use food approved colors anyway so that's the route I'd go. You can get really small bottles of this at your local cake store and some hobby lobby, and michaels too.
