iM DOING A BABY SHOWER CAKE THIS SATURDAY AND THE LADY REQUESTED A SHEET CAKE THAT WILL FEED 50 THE LARGEST PAN I HAVE IS A 11X13 IF I MAKE IT 2 LAYERS IT SHOULD FEED 72 ACCORDING TO WILTON, BUT IM THINKING NOT DO 2 LAYERS BUT ONE THEN I CAN ADD ON TOP OFTHE SHEET CAKE THE SMALL OVAL PAN AND TRY TO MAKE A BABY BUGGY IT WILL BE WHITE AND PINK DO YOU THINK THIS PAN WILL WORK I WILL USE TULE AND SHAPE THE HOOD PART AND BASKET WEAVE THE REST. IM THINKING OF MAKEING A GUM PASTE BABY TO PUT IN IT DO YOU THINK THE OVAL PANS WILL LOOK LIKE A BUGGY OR BASSINETTE?? DO YOU THINK I WILL HAVE ENOUGH SERVINGS FOR 50

a circle pan w/ up to 1/4 of it removed will look more like a baby carriage.

some examples:

if you do an oval and little rounds for wheels on a sheet, it will be more than enough servings as an 11x13 at 2x2 party size is already 30 servings
10x7 oval is about 20 (so there's the 50)
and 2 6" rounds would at least another 12 very generous servings.

are you talking about the small oval pans or the medium sizes?? and will all of it fit on the 11x15 cake?? Sorry just trying to get a good cake

well 11x15 = 35 servings at 2x2 so even more cake

(and one day I'll learn to read better! icon_rolleyes.gif)
