I need to know if you increase the fluids when adding a box of pudding mix to a box cake mix or just have thicker batter?

I never add extra liquid. I just mix the dry instant pudding with the dry cake mix, then add liquid and eggs.

I add an extra egg. Think I got those directions from someone on this site.
