Cakeladywalker...I completely understand. I do the same thing. Like the juggling clown pan can be a tree, the swan pan can be a football helmet. I sometimes trace the shape (outer edges only) of a pan onto wax or newspaper and let my imagination take over. It's just easier to expand the mind when the details of the pan are not in clear sight.
