I was wondering if anyone had tried these cake mixes. They're much more expensive htan DH or others, but they don't have eggs or nuts or other things like that - but I think one mix only fills 1 9 in. pan.... I was just wondering if anyone had used them. Here's a link to their site:

It appears they are specifically targeted for people with allergies. This is probably not so expensive if you are allergic to dairy, eggs or peanuts.

Seems like the extra cost could be added into the charge for the cake. I've never even heard of them. Would be interested in knowing if they are good.

They sell those in the organic foods section at my local megamart. I saw them for the first time this week and was curious about them, but not so that I could splurge and go out of my grocery budget.

I tried them out recently - the chocolate and yellow cake mixes and the sugar and chocolate chip cookie mixes, not the gluten-free versions, though. I will definitely not get the yellow mix again, it did not taste like a regular yellow cake should. The chocolate cake mix has choc chips in it and it was not better than the traditional wacky cake recipes (Chaptlips has a classic one here - use top quality ingredients and it's great). Cherrybrook uses brownulated sugar which is coarse and gives the cookies a crunchier texture. I know some of the other allergy moms liked them, and they do taste better the next day for some reason, but I'm just not fond of these. Just my 2 cents. Has anyone tried mixes from Miss Roben's?
