Could Someone Please Tell Me What It Means To Get A 'bump'?

Are you referring to the statement "Even though I don't know the answer your looking for heres a bump" it's referring to keeping your post on the top of the pages so someone who may not be on at the time can see the post and answer your question. That way your question will not get baried in the bottom of a bunch of posts. Hope this helps
From what I have gathered, and if I am wrong please correct me, but a bump is used when you don't get a response. By "bumping" it sends your question back towards the top of the forum list with a "new response" symbol. This is in hopes someone will see it again and answer. Please, anyone correct if this isn't right. Maybe this helps.
